Academic Scholarships are available for students who need financial assistance to attend the College. Applicants should demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and a strong desire to engage fully in College life and embrace the opportunities provided.
The process includes a scholarship test. Shortlisted students and their families will be invited to tour the school on Friday 31 January. Only families who attend the school tour will be eligible for an interview which will be held the following week. Please pay close attention to the eligibility criteria and detail fields to ensure accurate responses on the application form.
Only one Edutest application is required to be considered for all scholarships the student is eligible for.

Mr Donald Geoffrey ‘Geoff’ Neilson (OGC 1942) was a proud student at the College, attending from kindergarten in 1935 to Year 12 in 1947. His children Timothy (OGC 1978) and Susan (OGC 1980) attended the College and Heather attended Morongo. Geoff was a committed philanthropist and a champion of education. He was a member of The Geelong College Foundation from 1987 to 1996 and the Foundation President from 1990 to 1993. He was made a Life Governor of The Geelong College in 2003 and a Fellow of the Old Geelong Collegians’ Association.
The Geoffrey Neilson Scholarships will fund 50% of tuition fees for up to two students entering Year 7, 9, 10 or 11 until they finish in Year 12 (up to six years). The scholarship will be awarded cyclically as the previous Geoffrey Neilson Scholar/s graduates.
