Plays, musicals, performance evenings and assemblies are held across each of the schools for students to showcase their dramatic talents.
At Senior School, the highlight of the year is the Major Production, involving a great number of Senior School students. A musical one year and a play the next, it is a polished and thrilling demonstration of the serious talent, endeavour and commitment of students and their teachers.
At Middle School there is a Year 8 Production held annually and younger students participate in various dramatic performances for their class, peers and the community. Our youngest students experience the performing arts in their classes where they are encouraged to explore creativity and performance, they are also treated to a variety of dramatic performances throughout the year from both Geelong College students and external companies.
Drama performances unite the school community. Through the productions, students of varying ages are encouraged to develop their interest in drama and music whether it is on stage - acting, singing and dancing, playing in the orchestra or band, or through support activities such as costume creation, set design and construction, technical support or publicity.
