Please note that in completing the application form below you are applying for enrolment. We do have waiting lists at most year levels so cannot guarantee a place in the school. We encourage you to apply within the first year of your child's life for entry to Early Learning, Foundation or Year 7 which are our intake years. If you are applying for years other than these, or within three years of starting please contact our admissions team at admissions@tgc.vic.edu.au to ascertain the likelihood of a place prior to submitting an application.

Enrolment timelines

With Geelong and the surrounding areas experiencing unprecedented growth, positions at The Geelong College are in high demand, with extensive waiting lists at most year levels. If you are considering applying for enrolment for your child please register for enrolment as early as possible (see below for process). We understand that for families moving to the area, or for boarding families, this may not be possible and will endeavour to assist with places where possible.

Entry into 2025 and 2026

Prior to submitting an application for 2025 or 2026, please reach out to our Admissions Team as places are limited.

Enrolment policy

Click the link below to read the full enrolment policy and note that priority is given to the following groups:

• Siblings of a current or past student
• Scholarship recipients
• Any child registered before the age of 2
• Children or grandchildren of an Old Collegian
• Children who were previously enrolled at the College
• All other applications in order of date of registration

All offers of place are made at the discretion of the Principal.

At the discretion of the Principal, some applications may be given preference on the waiting list on the basis of criteria such as:

• Boarding - given priority on the waiting list according to places available.

Application for enrolment process 

Step 1: Fill in our online enrolment application form 

Complete an application for enrolment and pay a $500 per child application fee to join the waitlist. You will receive an automated receipt of your application. Please note this is acknowledgement of your application, not an offer of place.

You will need the following:

• An electronic copy of the students’ birth certificate
• An electronic copy of visa (if applicable)
• Visa/Mastercard for payment - required for the $500 enrolment application fee (this fee is non-refundable)
  

Step 2: Assessment of Application

From 18 months prior to the enrolment year our admissions staff will contact the next family on the waitlist to progress with their application.

Step 3: Enrolment Interview

Our Admissions office will contact you prior to your child's commencement year to arrange for an enrolment interview and ask you to complete our Admissions Form.

Step 4: Offer of a Place

If the student’s application is successful, the College will forward a Letter of Offer to the family.

Step 5: Accepting the Offer

To accept the offer of place at The Geelong College, the following must be submitted to the school

• Acceptance of Offer signed by both parents
• Payment of the $2,750 Admission Fee (non-refundable and not deducted from the tuition fees)

Step 6: Commencement planning

Your child's Orientation Morning and transition activities will be arranged before you commence.
