The Geelong College facilities are available for hire by businesses and community groups. The below spaces are located across our Junior, Middle, and Senior School campuses in beautiful Newtown, Geelong and can accommodate both sitting and standing arrangements for your guests. Free onsite car parking is also available.

Indoor

Dining Hall
The Heritage-listed Senior School Dining Hall exemplifies British school dining hall architecture. Designed in the 20th-century Collegiate Tudor revival style, the hall features a rectangular layout with exposed timber truss ceilings, a pitched roof, timber door and wall panelling, and distinctive projecting oriel and leadlight windows.

With capacity for 194 people seated (or 250 standing) the hall can be configured to meet the needs of various functions. It is available for hire during term breaks only for $600. Please note: Hire fee is for the venue only and excludes catering and AV technician support – these apply at an additional cost if required. Also, seating and standing capacity is reduced should you require space for a dance floor. 

Morrison Hall
This classic school hall accommodates up to 560 seated guests or 600 standing. Featuring a stage at the northern end, it is ideal for a range of events. Available for $500 per full day.

Robertson Hall
This traditional school hall, primarily used as a music and presentation complex, accommodates 300 seated or 600 standing guests. Available for $300 for up to 4 hours, or $500 for up to 8 hours.

Outdoor

The Cloisters
The Cloisters are a stunning 20th-century Collegiate Tudor revival space featuring an open brick colonnade with wide Tudor-style arches on all sides, complemented by semi-enclosed sections and open Tudor-style windows on the upper level. The space creates a picturesque quadrangle reminiscent of medieval monastic communities and Roman architecture, with lush greenery further enhancing the charm of this beautiful setting.

Ideal for ceremonies, receptions, and various functions, the Cloisters are available exclusively to Old Geelong Collegians, current staff members, and Morongo Old Collegians and can facilitate 224 people seated or 300 standing at a cost of $345. Please note: Hire fee is for the venue only and excludes furniture hire, equipment and AV technician support – this must be coordinated and paid for by the hirer through an external supplier. Please let us know if you would like external AV company recommendations. 

Ceremony

The Chapel 
Located on the North-East corner of the Senior School campus, the College Chapel is a beautifully crafted space by architects McGlashan Everist. 

The Chapel, which seats 220, is available for weddings involving Old Geelong Collegians, current staff members, and Morongo Old Collegians only, for $345 per half day. Please note: AV technician fees apply at an additional cost if required.
