John Oldmeadow brings extensive experience and dedication to the College Council. A Yale Divinity School graduate, John transitioned from teaching to a 20-year career in publishing and bookselling. For the final 15 years of his professional life, he served as Executive Director of the Board of Education for the NSW Synod of the Uniting Church, including membership of the UCA schools in NSW. John’s wife Barbara is a UCA Minister and served as a chaplain in UCA schools in NSW also. They have two daughters in Canberra.
After retiring, John was active in community and interfaith activities. John, and Barbara, now enjoy the vibrant inner-city life of Sydney. His diverse background and commitment to education and community service make him invaluable to the College Council.
